SEARCH AND PROMOTIONS MANAGER

This is a full-time, salary position for our Vancouver based agency. Candidates must reside in Canada and be legal to work in Canada. Preference will be given to candidates who live in British Columbia. 

IMPACT Marketing International is looking for an experienced Search and Promotion Manager to join our team. The area of responsibility is paid media (Google and social media) and SEO.

With exceptional communication and organization skills, and the ability to support IMPACT’s brand promise to WOW clients with relevant, creative solutions, we are looking for someone with extensive experience in SEO, Google and Social Media advertising to join our collaborative team. 

The successful candidate must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Working closely with our Client Managers and Content team, you will bring your data and technical skills to our marketing processes. The successful candidate will be a tracking genius who loves geeking out on creating and executing organic and paid campaign strategies. You will obsess over helping us to achieve client goals. 

Applicants must be highly organized and have experience juggling multiple clients at a time. 

Key Responsibilities

Bring your search and paid media expertise and creative insights to the IMPACT team. You will be the authority in the disciplines of SEO and paid media on our team.

In collaboration with an SEO teammate and a thorough understanding of IMPACT methodology:

  • Collaborate with Client Managers and Content Team to map out content strategies including conversion pathways, keywords, and linking structures.
  • Implement and monitor cross-domain tracking and report on KPIs as related to SEO, content strategy, and ad campaigns.
  • Iterating content development processes to ensure its ranking in SERP and its alignment with the Inbound Marketing Methodology.
  • Perform keyword research for organic and paid campaigns for an international client base.
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with our Client Managers to understand how inbound marketing activity turns into customers and converts.
  • Deeply understand our clients and their goals to develop cross-platform ad campaigns. You will be responsible for identifying new campaign opportunities and developing audiences as well as crafting the language and sourcing the visuals for search and social ads.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience (or more) as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist or similar role
  • 3 years or more experience executing paid media campaigns with monthly budgets of $1000 – $10,000/ month on Google and social media platforms 
  • Excellent knowledge of and proven work experience with WordPress and other CMS based systems (for tracking and optimization purposes, not design)
  • Must have excellent knowledge of digital marketing, Social Media, and Search Tracking codes 
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other web analysis tools
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to prioritize
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Is a team player and can work with a diverse group of people, but also able to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with landing page software, and other automation tools.

Knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred. Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms such as Hubspot and Sharpspring is preferred.

As a HubSpot partner, we require all contractors and employees to be Inbound Certified prior to being assigned client work. The certification is free and takes about six to eight hours to complete. Applications will be received and interviews granted without the certification, but only those with the certification will be hired.

A combination of education and experience will be considered.

DIGITAL MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER

The successful candidate must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Working closely with our Client Managers, the content, and search and promotion teams, you will bring your organizational and communication skills to our marketing processes. The successful candidate will be a deadline maniac who loves collaborating on strategy and keeping all the moving pieces in order. 

Applicants must be highly organized and have experience juggling multiple clients at a time. 

This position will escalate to client management for the right candidate. 

The Project Manager reports directly to the Director of Client Marketing. 

The Mandate:

The Project Manager will support clients and their success, collaborate with the team in providing best-in-class marketing solutions and manage the implementation of ongoing client projects. Key areas of accountability for this role are:

  • Thoroughly research and understand each assigned client, their goals, brand elements, and industry. 
  • Coordinate all the moving pieces of an end-to-end inbound and outbound marketing campaign including blog posts, SEO, paid media (search & social), landing pages, and more. 
  • Manage client projects ensuring scope and deadlines are met and not exceeded. 
  • Collaborate, provide direction, and monitor the efficiency and success of contractors and employees contributing to client projects. 
  • Analyze search, social media, and other data to prepare and deliver detailed reporting and consultation to clients. 
  • Maintain and improve company policies related to the position.

For the right candidate, this position escalates to Client Management after a minimum of three months. In the promoted position, the accountabilities for this role include:

  • Maintaining professional and consistent communication with local and overseas clients. (Requires some evening and early morning video conference calls.)
  • Collaborate and provide campaign direction to project managers, SEO professionals, ad managers, and the creative team. 
  • Host workshops and regular status meetings with clients. 

Competencies:

  • Ability to speak confidently and advise clients on best practices and next steps.
  • Advanced analytical aptitude with the curiosity and determination to find answers. 
  • Advanced written and phone communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • High attention to detail with an innate ability to think through the next steps and act or delegate accordingly.
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Solid computer skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently. 
  • Able to graciously give and receive feedback. 
  • Able to collaborate and manage projects. 

You must have proven problem solving and decision-making skills to diagnose challenges and issues, develop innovative solutions, and assess risks and opportunities. Good knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques of project management.

Education:

An exceptional background of mixed marketing experience and technical aptitude is required. 

Post-Secondary Education/Diploma in Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Project Management would be an asset, but not required. 

IMPACT utilizes a variety of platforms including Facebook, Microsoft Suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Google Workspace programs (Google Calendar, Drive), email marketing software, CRM, and more. Working knowledge of these programs is imperative.

A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Some international travel may be required.
