With exceptional communication skills, and the ability to support IMPACT’s brand promise to WOW clients with relevant, creative solutions, we are looking for someone with extensive writing experience to join our collaborative team. The successful candidate must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

As a journalist, you go beyond pen to paper and are adept at loading lovely prose to various content platforms needing little guidance. Ideally, you can handle some of the basic “pretty-making” along the way. You can handle Constant Contact, HubSpot, WordPress and any other newfangled blog meteor that falls before us.

As the Inbound Content Writer, you will continually turn out thoughtful, well-written content to fuel marketing efforts. Blog posts, social media posts, emails, and lengthier lead generation content offers like ebooks or guides are on the menu.  From 140-character tweets to 5,000-word documents, you possess the versatility to write catchy promotional messages and in-depth, factual content alike that both attracts and converts.

Led by curiosity, you know how to write about topics whether you have a depth of knowledge or not. You research, study, and interview, then write in a way that tells a story in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way.

The Inbound Content Writer reports directly to our Client Managers.

The Mandate

We currently have an immediate opening for a full time Content Writer to join our collaborative marketing team. The Content Writer will be responsible for creating strategic and engaging content for the IMPACT brand as well as our client brands. This will include web pages, ad copy, email campaigns, email streams, blogging, limited Social Media content and keywords implementation. The ideal candidate has a passion for writing, works well under pressure and can meet multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and brainstorm with strategic teams to generate innovative ideas
  • Regularly produce creative copy for various channels including brand blogs, email campaigns, company landing pages, etc.
  • Producing ebooks and other offers on a variety of topics
  • With the help of our SEO Ninja, optimizing online content for search engines
  • Ability to make content recommendations based on brand strategy and analytics
  • Providing support to the social media and advertising teams to successfully drive traffic to content
  • Writing, writing, writing….
  • Additional responsibilities as the organization scales

Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience writing short form and long form engaging content

Education:

Post-Secondary Education/Diploma is preferred, but not required.

As a HubSpot partner, we require all contractors and employees to be Inbound Certified prior to being assigned client work. The certification is free and takes about 6 -8 hours to complete. Applications will be received and interviews granted without the certification, but only those with the certification will be hired.

A combination of education and experience will be considered.

SENIOR MARKET RESEARCH SPECIALIST (INTERNATIONAL POSITION)

CURRENT OPENING:

IMPACT is seeking a Senior Market Research Specialist. This critical member of the team will be a highly organized and collaborative consultant in order to support our brand promise to WOW clients. The right candidate will possess exceptional research and communication skills, as well as a natural curiosity and passion to understand people. The Senior Market Research Specialist will listen well and professionally deliver analysis, observations and recommendations, verbally and in detailed written reports. Comfort speaking with executives and presenting to educated professionals is required so written and spoken English fluency is integral.

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Market Research Specialist will manage the work of administrative and research assistants as required for project completion. As team members are located in multiple time zones, work location is not limited to a geographical area and may be located from a home office anywhere in the world. IMPACT creates flexible job positions to accommodate personal and professional development. This position will start on a per contract basis, starting with one or two projects with the potential to lead to a full time project lead.

The Mandate

The duties of the Senior Market Research Specialist includes acting as a Consultant/Team Member on a selection of research projects and as Team Lead on others to support the successful completion of perception research projects for International Schools. The successful candidate will collaborate with research teams to improve processes, optimize efficiency and work independently as appropriate. Accountabilities include:

  • Develop research project outcome goals
    Participate in client discovery process and provide input on research direction and comprehensive research question development

    • When in the Project Lead role, work directly and independently with clients on survey, interview and focus group question development
  • Conduct research project management – internal
    Monitor timelines and track schedule and deliverables, coordinate meetings, manage digital files, project documentation/archiving, summarize lessons learned.
  • Support project meetings – internal/external
    Host and run web conferences, document action items and key takeaways, prepare/edit presentation materials.
  • Conduct research
    Perform phone interviews, facilitate focus groups and/or provide questions and agenda for focus groups facilitators
  • Summarize research findings
    Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, identifying themes as the basis of an in depth client presentation and final report, direct administrative team on survey design, execution and data presentation, writing/editing and quality and version control of reports and other deliverables to assist clients in understanding data consistently.

Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills,
  • Proven research skills including excellent time management, reasoning, problem solving, and analytical skills,attention to detail and the ability to focus, critical thinking,
  • Advanced proficiency with business applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online meetings, Skype, project management software)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to collaboratively and graciously provide and receive feedback
  • Ability to travel internationally if required

Education:

Post Secondary Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
