CURRENT OPENING:

IMPACT is seeking a Senior Market Research Specialist. This critical member of the team will be a highly organized and collaborative consultant in order to support our brand promise to WOW clients. The right candidate will possess exceptional research and communication skills, as well as a natural curiosity and passion to understand people. The Senior Market Research Specialist will listen well and professionally deliver analysis, observations and recommendations, verbally and in detailed written reports. Comfort speaking with executives and presenting to educated professionals is required so written and spoken English fluency is integral.

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Market Research Specialist will manage the work of administrative and research assistants as required for project completion. As team members are located in multiple time zones, work location is not limited to a geographical area and may be located from a home office anywhere in the world. IMPACT creates flexible job positions to accommodate personal and professional development. This position will start on a per contract basis, starting with one or two projects with the potential to lead to a full time project lead.

The Mandate

The duties of the Senior Market Research Specialist includes acting as a Consultant/Team Member on a selection of research projects and as Team Lead on others to support the successful completion of perception research projects for International Schools. The successful candidate will collaborate with research teams to improve processes, optimize efficiency and work independently as appropriate. Accountabilities include:

  • Develop research project outcome goals
    Participate in client discovery process and provide input on research direction and comprehensive research question development

    • When in the Project Lead role, work directly and independently with clients on survey, interview and focus group question development
  • Conduct research project management – internal
    Monitor timelines and track schedule and deliverables, coordinate meetings, manage digital files, project documentation/archiving, summarize lessons learned.
  • Support project meetings – internal/external
    Host and run web conferences, document action items and key takeaways, prepare/edit presentation materials.
  • Conduct research
    Perform phone interviews, facilitate focus groups and/or provide questions and agenda for focus groups facilitators
  • Summarize research findings
    Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, identifying themes as the basis of an in depth client presentation and final report, direct administrative team on survey design, execution and data presentation, writing/editing and quality and version control of reports and other deliverables to assist clients in understanding data consistently.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills,
  • Proven research skills including excellent time management, reasoning, problem solving, and analytical skills,attention to detail and the ability to focus, critical thinking,
  • Advanced proficiency with business applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online meetings, Skype, project management software)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to collaboratively and graciously provide and receive feedback
  • Ability to travel internationally if required

Education:

Post Secondary Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As a HubSpot partner, we require all contractors and employees to be Inbound Certified prior to being assigned client work. The certification is free and takes about 6 -8 hours to complete. Applications will be received and interviews granted without the certification, but only those with the certification will be hired.

First consideration will be given to those with international school administration experience or market research experience.
